I advise to probably find a guild to suite your play style. Progression servers kind of helped but I feel without aas the game isnt as fun.I have tried P99 recently but I didn't like it, because you spent more time on the wiki then the game itself to understand lol managed to download a minimap and all the installation was awful oh i forgot to mention how hard it was to fix the Windowed Borderless Mode without WinEQ ...Both felt very dated for me when I tried it. Most of the QOL things don't exist and it does take some time to get it all set up how you want. I don't know if they walked that back, but just the fact that they dropped it into the game in the first place...Eq2 is fun if you don't mind mostly soloing through.
If you’re used to retail WoW I think EQ1 would be very off putting to you.EQ1 on live is going to be a ghost town until max level.
EQ2 felt empty and that turned me off completely as a new player.
I have no idea how they are now though. Go out and one-shot ten bears.
