Four years in, and we’re finally here: Stellaris’ first expansion focused on diplomacy. Arguably they are some of the best 4X games ever.I get your point and I agree but to be fair the Total War series has always had a tactical element to combat if the player wishes to utilize it.Total War is a strategic game series in which the combats are 100% deciding your outcome, you may choose to let the AI handle both sides and lose heavily or do the battles manually and potentially wreck your opponent even if you are severely out-manned.Tactical element comes from planning your fleet composition!
