So I was deeply disappointed reading the third book.
I just hated how Eve was constantly moaning about her situation but then not doing herself any favours and often making things worse, it was as if the intelligent version of herself that we see in book 2 was sacrificed for her being in a relationship with Villanelle. A cracking good conclusion to the series. Although, I’m sorry you were as dissapointed as I were. I feel like he chose the easy way out.Instead of being forced to tie up loose plot threads, explain. It has some good points and funny moments. It had such promise and potential... but unfortunately Die for Me didn't deliver.
These characters gravitate towards each other in a compelling, at times repulsive, relationship, which makes it all the more thrilling. Love the program, even liked the first two books, but this is a big disappointment for me, it's turned into a love story between the two and eve seems to kill without passion or revulsion which is not what I've found in the past. It's not true to the characters or their relationship for them to get a happily ever after ending.Oh dear God. All of the books were entertaining to some degree but definitely prefer the television series and that feeling grew with each book.Okay, first off, since when did Killing Eve turn into an erotica novel because I find them way too kinky for my taste, but also like OH MY VILLANEVE! Foolish boy. Love this series. They’re that different.Writing this review has been a challenge, partly because I don’t like talking down a book but, mostly because I feel so conflicted. Eve comes across as petulant and needy, instead of the tough woman who can make the hard decision.
It was so hard to have sympathy for her, and I just kept reading and thinking ‘there’s no way book 2 Eve would do that’, but then I guess I didn’t really know Eve anymore since the writer spent little time exploring her extreme personality changes post MI6 life. The final installment of this series was a complete waste.
That an author should be allowed to complete their story in peace before other writers begin to change it to fit a new medium. On the run, Eve is now in Villanelles world. This book was a perfect end to the trilogy with a satisfying point of answering the questions that emerged throughout the previous novels as well as leaving a few open to the readers' interpretation. Read honest and unbiased product reviews from our users. A wonderful trilogy. Unlike the first two books which are told in the third person, the third is written from Eve's point of view and it doesn't seem to be the same Eve Polastri portrayed in the first two. I was highly anticipating this third book and I actually wish I hadn't purchased it. Smooth.
Her development from the previous book is completely thrown out the window and it feels like her whole personality is just to be Villanelle’s girlfriend, with her clinging to Villanelle for survival and completely forgetting who she is as an individual. "Endgame" (or "Die for Me") completes the high energy trilogy of MI6 agent Eve's dogged pursuit of evil assassin Villanelle. I can’t wrap my head around this book being written by the same person. In March 2019, Jennings followed up with a sequel Killing Eve: No Tomorrow, and the third and final book in the series Killing Eve: Die for Me was published in June 2020. It's always bitterly disappointing to see your expectations shattered like that. Closer to forty than thirty-five. She’s not been working for the MI6, but for a double agent of The Twelve. this is a love story.I have so many mixed feelings about this book its actually painful. This change in character feels as though it happens from the first chapter, with Eve and Villanelle suddenly in a romantic relationship without the author even attempting to explain how this came about, and its as though there’s been a huge jump in Eve that was never fully explored. Love this series. I originally started this book series after watching killing Eve, and I would like to say that these books are some of the most gripping and engaging pieces of literature I have ever picked up. Her work led her to be tracked by a British MI6 agent named Eve Polastri and the story starts with Eve tracing and tracking Villanelle.I loved the first two books of the series and waited with baited breath for this one to come out. Be the first to ask a question about Endgame.Welcome back. Unlike the first two books which are told in the third person, the third is written from Eve's point of view and it doesn't seem to be the same Eve Polastri portrayed in the first two. The most recent example of this is Game of Thrones, whose end was so bad that everyone just decided to forget the ten years of the series and is just waiting for the (almost impossible) books. While not quite as good as Book 2 in the series, I definitely now prefer this over the TV series of which I am halfway through season 3. A blog about stories; preferably starring Hobbits, Witchers, or Star Turtles. There are times I wish it were forbidden to adapt a story before it’s finished. My main issue is the way Eve’s character is presented. March 19th 2020 Gripping and addictive. The plot was good but I found Eve's character to be annoying pretty regularly and was extremely disappointed that there were no chapters from Villanelle/Oxana's point of view. Refresh and try again. We’d love your help.
Felt like everything built to a slightly anticlimactic finish and just was killing time a little bit.
