Can you park overnight here? I recommend all tourists to take the ferry since you get a better view of old Quebec on the south shore. Do not leave any belongings in plain sight and lock your doors. We were a little bit early for it; however, I think it was a little too cloudy that day for a spectacular sunset.

Although after a day of driving over and meandering to find parking, we've decided next time we might just park the car at the ferry for $8 and then ferry over. Use caution when walking between vehicles. All of the passengers got off the boat and we stayed on, as we wished to travel directly back to Quebec City. Keeping this in mind, you may want to try riding the ferry at sunrise to get the best photos of Old Quebec. It's all fairly close for the cost and I'd rather wait for the ferry than dodge people and hope to find $18 parking.

We did get off the ferry and had a beer in the microbrewery just off the boat (turn right off the boat, walk through the parking lot toward the blue umbrellas).For maybe $.75 or $1.00, enjoy a boat ride across the mighty St Lawrence.
