I don't even like that super shiny style polishing, it makes me feel like I'm trying to hard.

I typically use the Meltonian leather lotion and cream polish and then I use Lincoln Stain Wax on the areas that get a lot of wear and don't crease. I do like to shine them real nice with Kiwi then throw a coat or two of Kiwi Parade Gloss on it.

From a practical standpoint, Saphir is very easy to bring up to a high shine versus Kiwi. Perhaps the mass quantity my academy issued was just old and that was the problem, but I think there is no substitute for good old fashioned Kiwi. My query is that if I use neutral policy from now, can I get my shoes original color back!?

How many years do you keep your shoes?I've become a Saphir convert. .I use Kiwi for a once in a while high polish and Johnston & Murphy for the everyday tidy up.The guys "in the know" all swear by Saphir. Also, beeswax and a higher pigment density.
Saphir is certainly an "investment", but a can of polish lasts long enough that the price is marginal. Lincoln Stain Wax Shoe Polish was better at producing the classic mirror-like shine that many people expect from a wax polish. The Neutral is fine.Good article. I swapped and never looked back.The original kiwi was ok but I didnât like the formula that had more silicone in it.
If you need to buy something cheaper, then good options are Lincoln for wax polish and Melatonin for creams. i understand from most sources that it is recommended to have a shoe brush for each polish, however, would that rule apply too if i were to use a single neutral shoe polish across all my shoes of different colour?Hi, If you are using the Neutral Polish you don’t have to worry about the colors. Lincoln Stain Wax is also a paste polish and has a little more of a color pigment therefore is called a stain wax and also give a glossy shine.
