My only gripe as mentioned is that the manufacturer needs to be a bit more responsible and send me all the parts. All were easy to assemble with clear instructions, well identified parts, and hardware separately bagged for the cabinet and each drawer.
the gliders for the drawers are made of plastic so they feel kind of cheap. It now slides anytime we sit up against the wall, or move very much. I only have a mattress on top, no boxspring (since it isn't required for this frame), but it still proved incredibly difficult to manoeuvre the bed and try to access what was underneath.

I assembled the entire thing with an electric screwdriver/drill and had no issues at all with this (sometimes press board splits with electric drills). I will never buy anything "South Shore" again." Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. Fedex's fault, in part, for sloppy handling. When you buy cheap furniture, you get less than stellar quality, and this South Shore piece is no exception. I called southshore. I decided to ignore them since I had recently bought another piece of funiture from Amazon with mixed reviews, and my gamble turned out great. However, I wish that someone would have thought to mention in any of the reviews, not to mention the product description, that the drawer bottoms were made out of reinforced cardboard (same as the back of the dresser), and the tracks of the drawers are made out of plastic.

However, it took 2 weeks before I had all of the replacement pieces, which was a huge hassle for us. To be fair, this bed frame was in a relatively reasonable price point, so while I point out that the materials are cheap and break easily, I won't say that I expected much else since you usually get what you pay for.
But I guess what do you expect for $100. The drawers are plastic on plastic glides and will probably loosen up and be easier to open about the time they break off. It's definitely a "no fuss" minimal type of platform, which is what I was looking for, as I had to ditch my box spring due to it not fitting in my current apartment. Item arrive 7 days after ordered. The replacement pieces came very well packaged and padded. I called south shore customer service and they assured me that if I found the brochure they would mail me the spare part for free. With the veneer looking good everywhere else, this is noticeable.I bought this bed after checking the reviews and boy, not disappointed. it looks great.
We do not overflow the dresser in anyway, but the dresser drawers do not stay in the track. South Shore Furniture has the correct product dimension on their online site: 20.5'' (W) x 16.5'' (D) x 49'' (H), 51.0 lb. I'm an elderly man who has ordered many pieces of furniture requiring assembly, including other South Shore items, and have found South Shore to be one of the best. Plus thanks to my "pregnancy brains" and my husband's selective memory I cannot remember for the life of me as to where did I put the manual. I felt scammed by South shore furniture on 4/2020. Our saying is: "if our order is damaged it was shipped via Fedex!" Obviously this is not how the product is intended to be used however I believe it speaks to the strength and quality of this bed in a positive way. I have to brace myself for leverage to open the drawers each time. Plastic!!!
If you plan to store empty egg cartons in yours, then this is totally for you. The only issue: the dimensions are wrong on Amazon. It arrived in perfect condition and was very easy to assemble. My queen sized bed fits wonderfully, and it was actually pretty easy to put together!
