Needless to say, the writing has intensified, and the work is flowing out… It is challenging as ever, and with just as much purpose. But my word, put them on a stage and they'd blow your ****ing mind. On the eve of my 40th birthday, I find myself reflecting on my last big birthday; turning 30 (both excellent times to reflect). Their songs are very anthemic and they covered their whole catalog, from No Cars Go all the way to Reflektor. I would have liked to follow their dress code, but, as you know, Rome is quite hot in summer.Once again we were not disappointed in their concert! I've seen their audiences grow bigger each tour, not to mention their collection of industry awards. August 18, 2020 6:30 AM Arcade Fire performs at the Capitol Records building in Hollywood in 2013. In 2004, the band had a major breakthrough with their debut album.Akram is a 26yo living in Montréal. But for each of the songs from their newest album had little fun tidbits like guys in high heels vogue dancing to "We Exist" and Regine appearing on the secondary stage in the middle of the crowd for "It's Never Over." The set list, leaning heavily on the new Reflektor and the now classic Funeral album was energetic and driving interspersed with a few of the more popular tracks from The Suburbs. It shouldn't have been any ****ing good. I didn't think the rotating boxing ring stage worked. The band and their music means a lot to me and also for my 3 kids because they grew up with the band, and now they are 22, 17, and 14 years old and bring them with me to the concert was a blessing and an incredible experience as a family. Thanks Arcade Fire to came to Vancouver your make one of our dreams made truth,The band played not only their latest album EN but also mythical songs from previous works (really impressive moments with “my body is a cage” or reflektor)...the sound full and clean....lights and effects superb....unforgetable night in Madrid from the begining to the magic ending with all the band playing accoustic while leaving the stage with all the people singing....Really wonderful experience. It was an amazing experience. After visiting Sziget Festival in 2014 (and 2015, and 2016), his love for live music started ascending and is yet to peak. Problem is, I was so close to the stage that I couldn't enjoy the music itself: the soundcheck had been done badly, so that the bass would cover every other sound sometimes, and it seemed to be overdriven. So worth it! Then we heard her voice from a different stage in the center of the GA area. worth it.The show is blowminding, their passion fill the air and get to the crowd's soul since the first frame of the video starts.Want to see Arcade Fire in concert? "It's a bunch of geeks playing ****ing art music. "Wake Up", with its peerlessly anthemic chorus delivered with almost religious fervour. As the confetti fell and the last notes of "Wake Up" rattled off the rafters a satiated NYC crowd was invited to stay and dance, though most quickly filed out into the night time, buzzing.Arcade Fire played an absolutely electric show at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, leaving the crowd buzzing with more energy at the end than it already had at the start. Overall best day concert I've ever been to, plus being at Biffy Clyro the day before made it the best Weekend of my life. This was my second Arcade Fire show (the first was at the Sasquatch Festival following the release of Funeral about a decade ago). already looking forward to the next tour!! Half an hour before the doors opened, a tour guide recruited me to dance for them and she took me backstage. Only a band like Arcade Fire could make an entire arena of hundreds of people feel connected. Dedicating Suburbs to Bowie was a great gesture as was the conga-style departure from the stage singing Rebel Rebel. This was the second of what I hope will be many more Arcade Fire gigs (I last saw them in 2014).It was a brilliant evening! better live. I didn’t even have the energy to celebrate, but we still went to a little Tex Mex place (definitely my death row cuisine of choice) I remember sitting in the fake leather booth, barely able to speak because of mental exhaustion, my true friends scattered all over the world and no where in sight, and thinking “It feels pretty great to be here at 30.” I was doing challenging work, with amazing band mates, making music I felt inspired by and driven to complete. Live. It is challenging as ever, and with just as much purpose. (Not closing the door on doing some online performances, but it feels like many artists have that covered;) But talk to me in August when we are all climbing the walls...consider that a song request Radiohead )
When you listen to the music that’s coming (...eventually...not soon…if you don’t have patience by now, you definitely aren’t reading this), you will know what we were working on under quarantine.
