Unfortunately, bowhunting is not legal in Norway due to a law which states that the flying projectile must be powered by gunpowder. Payment of the fee is a prerequisite for hunting, but does not confer the right to hunt in any specific area. When the first Norwegian laws where written early in the last millennium, the main principle was that the game had no owners and that every man could hunt on his own ground. Yes, it’s a strange phenomenon.
